If you have been in the pool this winter and want to head to the river we are offering a 2 day novice kayak clinic at an extra fee of $125. Instructors will do a quick review on the lake before heading over to the river to introduce you to the current.
THESE COURSES HAVE TO BE PRE-REGISTERED so we can arrange to have an Instructor available to teach you.
21st Annual, May 17 - 20, 2019
Online registration opens March 20th.
The Pinch-o-Crow Creekers Kayak Club is hosting the 21st annual 3 River Rendezvous on May 17 - 20, 2019 down here in the "Centre of Adventure". We will be organizing and leading trips on the Castle, Crowsnest and Oldman Rivers. There will also be chances to go paddle the Carbondale, Elk, Wigwam, Bull, Highwood, Waterton or Belly Rivers while you are down here. Only three days and too many rivers to paddle.
There will be opportunities for beginner
groups to get on the water and paddle
easier stretches as well as more advanced
trips. We are a week later so we should
have more sun, less snow and LOTS of
WATER for all you big wave fans.
Okay seriously – its always been fun and it
will be fun this year too!
This year we will have demo boats from several manufacturers and equipment will be on site to try and buy.
Camping is going to be the same as in the past. We will be at the Castle River Rodeo Grounds. It is centrally located and easy to find off Highway 507 between Lundbreck/Burmis and Beaver Mines, just 10.7 km south of Highway 3. This site is well sheltered with flush toilets and a new camp kitchen and lots of room for everyone – even those softies that bring trailers. https://www.pinchocrowcreekers.com/campground-map
Drive west on Highway 3 past Lundbreck Falls till you come to Highway 507. Turn south and head towards Beaver Mines and Castle Mountain Ski Resort. Drive 10.7 km south, after you cross the Castle River at the top of the hill, turn east to the Castle River Rodeo Grounds. The road swings back down to the river and we are camped right there.
We will again offer a bbq and fixings dinner for Saturday night and the Sunday night we have something special lined up. There will be vege-burgers and a vege-fixings for those who want it. You must let us know in advance so that we can order enough for you.
Again this year we are encouraging you to
bring your own plates, cups, steak knifes
and cutlery to reduce our waste.
We have some great support from our
sponsors and our paddling shops, Prizes
will be drawn for during the weekend
There is another new brew pub up in the Pass and they are co-sponsoring our Beer Garden on Saturday & Sunday night with Oldman Brewing. We will have 3 of their beers on tap each night. Two beer/wine tickets will be included in adult registrations. Extra tickets will be on sale.
